Cons: StubHub is full of incompetent leaders. Maybe they were good at one point in time, but then they have failed to keep up with the times. Recently, StubHub laid off a lot of people. Why did they lay off people? Because the business is not doing well. Why isn't the business doing well? Because leadership failed to do their job, and they failed to keep up with the competition. And yet, no one from leadership was laid off. In fact, they were moved to different, higher positions within the organization a few months back. Shouldn't leadership take the blame for the failure? They do say that they made some mistakes in the past and did not do enough to beat the competition, etc., but that is all talk. When it comes to taking action, they layoff junior employees rather than firing themselves. I can't speak too much for other departments, but the technology department is in really bad hands. There is no vision, and there is no sign of any vision. All they do is a bunch of re-orgs, and they think moving people around is going to fix all the problems. Well, what happens after every re-org is that people stop talking about old issues and start talking about re-orgs, and leaders don't have to deal with the problems anymore.

Pros: The location in downtown San Fran is OK despite the lack of decent restaurants, but who cares if the job is horrible and the management is corrupt?

Cons: Favoritism and cronyism weigh heavily in favor of foreign workers. There is definitely reverse discrimination in this company, at least in engineering. There are too many middle managers -- way too many -- and it is an infestation! Another commenter mentions technical debt: A ton of it exists, and there is little will to deal with it.
