The recruiter screen was with the Head of Recruiting and felt very scripted and impersonal. I would answer questions in detail, but it often felt like the responses were canned before immediately moving on to the next item on the list.
As a candidate, I didn’t feel there was much engagement with my answers or much effort to present the company or the opportunity. My experience also aligned closely with several other interview reviews I had read beforehand, which was disappointing.
One thing that stood out was that I was told the expectation for this role is to be in the office five days a week, while the recruiter appeared to be interviewing remotely from home. There may be a reasonable explanation for this, but as a candidate it came across as inconsistent and left me with questions about the policy.
I went into the interview genuinely excited. I’m a user of the product and was hoping for a great experience. Unfortunately, the recruiting process left me with a much less favorable impression of the company than I had beforehand.
