I applied online. The process took 2 days.
Concerning the interview process, or lack of process. Did a recruiter call followed by an initial discussion. Recruiter was a contractor, very rushed.
The interview was scheduled as an intro call with one of the engineering managers, but they switched to a senior engineer at the last minute without explanation. The talk was unstructured, with random people running around in the background.
They asked me to effectively design their audio player and playlist system (free consulting work) and did not ask about any of my experience, skills, projects, or really anything that would constitute an interview. Received a generic rejection email with no feedback a few days later. Very thankful that I didn’t fly to Boston for this.
Interviewer asked how I would implement the project that they're currently working on.
The following metrics were computed from 3 interview experiences for the Suno Staff Software Engineer role.
Suno's interview process for their Staff Software Engineer roles is extremely selective, failing the vast majority of engineers.
Candidates reported having very negative feelings for Suno's Staff Software Engineer interview process.
