Coding Round
Was asked to code an app that fetches data from an API and shows it in a list, using MVVM, DI, etc.
Fairly straightforward and easy.
Only issue was that the interviewer didn't want to be there. Whenever I'd ask a question, he would respond after 15 seconds, meaning he was obviously working on something else during the interview.
Was asking subjective questions regarding my approach but expecting objective answers.
Was lacking basic knowledge about Android and kept changing the problem statement midway every time I tried answering.
Horrible experience, was glad when I got the generic rejection email.
Fetch movies from an API backend.
Display them in a list.
Follow clean architecture, MVVM, DI, and unit tests.
