There have been a lot of reviews on Swiggy and its employee relationship. I am not sure how it is across the company, but from the Technology team's perspective, it does the right thing.
I love working at Swiggy and with some of the best folks in the industry. If you are passionate about either technology or the food industry, Swiggy is the place to work for.
The company is performing rounds of one-on-one meetings with the CEO and VP HR. Even after all these, some people feel they are not able to share concerns with the right folks. If the CEO and VP HR are not the right folks, then who else could be the right folks in a company?
In August 2015, Swiggy did aggressive hiring, and a bunch of folks without any passion, looking only for money, got into the company. When this was identified, the company put them in PIP (with months of notice) or respective appraisal bands, and they ended up leaving and writing reviews online. Once all these categories of people leave the company, Swiggy will turn into one of the best places to work for.
To the management: Folks, there are still a few such employees who are either bad in tech or non-passionate. It will be good if we can weed them off soon. This will improve the overall morale of the company.
Apart from all these, there have been a lot of reviews saying bad reviews are deleted on Glassdoor. Does Glassdoor allow deletion? Think before believing in those reviews.
Not everything is right with every startup. Swiggy turned two years old and has been successful in the struggling food industry. This was possible by reducing costs on every end, including salaries/hikes for employees, especially in Tech.
I hope when the company achieves bigger and turns into the undisputed leader, they will revisit salaries and hikes. Until then, my passion for Tech and the Food Industry will drive me.
As I already mentioned, please weed out the wrong hires. Don't rush on hiring, as it has been proved that they don't add value to us.
Managers should take quick actions rather than being friendly to the wrong folks.
Had 4 technical rounds: * Online HackerRank with 2 coding questions. * F2F CS Fundamentals and 1 binary tree question. * 2 medium-level coding questions. * LLD design (Splitwise). Very disappointing experience with this company. I answered
There were a total of 5 rounds, all of them eliminating one candidate. I failed to pass the 3rd round, which was the low-level design round. In it, I was asked to low-level design a movie booking system (like Book My Show).
There were four rounds in total. The first is a machine coding round. You can complete it either onsite or offsite on HackerRank. There was one Algo/Problem Solving round, one System Design round, and the last round was with the Hiring Manager.
