A couple of days before the interview, I found a bunch of STAR questions online and then picked out three to five stories from my past that would represent how I would answer them.

Learn, But Get Underpaid

Pros: Teams are generally collaborative. The overall atmosphere within engineering teams allows space for you to learn and grow.
Management and HR, in good-old midwestern tradition, smile at your face. If you are white, you are golden! If not, you will, on a daily basis, be at the receiving end of awkward comments, and at best, pity disguised as advocacy.
Cons: During your year-end and other reviews, you are told you are doing well, adding value, demonstrating Target "qualities," etc., etc. Then you get to compensation and they will gaslight you by saying that you had a great year and you are getting a good pay raise. It's pretty offensive when I know that I am getting paid in the bottom 25th percentile for my experience and salary range.

Pros: Coworkers are great, and there's a nice work/life balance.
Cons: Lots of red tape and leaders are confusing!

Cons: Too much change. Just when you think you've figured it out, it all shakes up or reorgs.
