Pros: Target is a great company with room for advancement. If you like a challenging, fast-paced environment, then Target will be a place that you will want to work. It can get really hectic during the holiday season, especially when you are dealing with unreasonable customers. However, the people and work are very rewarding and interesting.

Cons: Target is not known for promoting females, and it is much harder to get ahead as a woman executive at Target. You have to work harder, be careful not to show emotion if you get angry or upset, and make sure to hang tough with the "good ol boys".

Pros: Lots of growth opportunities in this company.

Cons: The work-life balance is not equal.

Pros: Great atmosphere. They really care about the guests and the team members. It's a great company to work for. You are compensated handsomely for achieving the objectives of the company, and you can move up rather quickly if you show consistent results. It's a fine balance between motivating and inspiring others while executing specific processes that the company deems important for future growth.

Cons: Target is going through an operational restructure right now, and it has some opportunities. Target didn't foresee the COVID crisis, reduced generational work behaviors, inflation, and supply chain obstacles prior to rolling out this new monumental format. This is primarily in replenishment, price changes, transitions, and online ordering. Basically, there are not enough resources to complete the required tasks. It's been five years, and the company is quietly realizing it's not working. Hopefully, they will restructure soon and create a more balanced approach between expectations and resources provided, based on the current climate.
