I applied through their careers website in May. Around two weeks after submission, I received a call from HR. We had an hour-long discussion covering my past experience, reasons for a change, location expectations, etc. I was told HR would get back to me based on our discussion.
It was almost a month before I heard back from them for a telephonic interview with a Senior Manager. The interview was scheduled for an hour. I was asked about my past experience and given a test scenario. It felt more like a conversation, and the interviewer never made me feel like it was an interview. After the interview, I thanked the interviewer for her time and asked for feedback (which came from HR). The feedback was very positive, and I was scheduled for a second round of interview.
This round was a bit technical, though nothing required coding, and again involved testing and scenario-based questions. I was once again told to wait for feedback. After two to three weeks, I was informed they would like me to come on-site for a face-to-face interview.
They made all the arrangements for the interview, and they were excellent at it. I arrived a day early in Minneapolis. I was picked up from the airport and stayed at a nice hotel right in downtown Minneapolis. I was told the interview would be at their headquarters, directly across from the hotel. The Senior Manager who conducted the first interview wanted to talk, so I left for the venue a little early. There, she explained what the interview would entail.
There were six interviews scheduled for the day, each an hour long. These interviews were conducted by different team managers and leads, and one of them was a VP (yes, Vice President). All the interviews were technical and in-depth, except for an HR interview. The interview concluded around 2:00 in the afternoon, after which they arranged a cab to the airport. I was told that a decision would be made in a day or two, and I would be informed.
I was very positive about the whole process and expected a positive outcome. I received a call exactly as promised and was made an offer. The package was good, and I accepted the offer. However, I had to undergo a drug test before receiving a formal offer.
