I applied for several jobs all titled "Senior Software Engineer." Surprisingly, the recruiter instantly arranged technical screens with each of them. Most of these went quite well, with only one position asking a few technical questions that I was not entirely familiar with. Unfortunately, I did not pass any of the technical screens, which is quite surprising as this is the first time I have not passed the technical screen round in my entire career with nine years of experience (even in this market).
I also checked the interviews posted on Glassdoor in the last two months, and there are no job offers regarding SWE, which looks odd considering there are many SWE job postings at Target. Now I have to wonder if the job postings are just for KPIs or other reasons.
Anyway, I just want to let candidates know not to be surprised if you get rejected, even if your interview went well.
