Final Round Onsite Interview - Full Day Affair

This full day affair included two approximately 45-minute interviews. The difficulty was completely dependent on the interviewer.

My first interviewer asked me to design a class to fit a specification and include a few methods to perform various tasks.

My second interviewer asked questions that no entry-level software engineer would know, such as:

  • Maximizing API uptime using backup servers.
  • How specific web browsers interact with HTML and their requirements.

Questions

If you were in charge of an API used by others, how would you ensure it would always stay up?
