I personally enjoyed meeting and helping guests. A lot of leeway when it came to showing up late. Great coworkers. Able to be flexible about rules on your own. Decent retail experience.
Constant revolving door of employees.
When the minimum wage increase was put into effect, they did not give a pay bump to employees who had been there for years.
Ineffective, constantly changing management.
They make you leave before you hit 40 hours so they don't have to give you benefits.
Boasted "much higher pay" than competitors at the interview but only offered .25 cents above minimum wage.
During holidays, you can't take any time off or you risk your job, but they would expect unreasonable hours from staff.
You spent millions to renovate our store, but didn't provide the cashiers with new stations. Our stations were mostly broken; only 7 of the 14 lanes worked well (most of the time), and almost none of the belts worked.
It's appalling how cashiers are treated at Target, like we're replaceable so there is no point in being kind.
On a personal note, during my last few months at Target, I needed special accommodation following my gallbladder removal. My managers told me I could buy my own chair if I needed to sit, rather than provide me with one for my shift. I did not want to fight back because I was leaving the company, but this is unacceptable.
Also, I gave my notice at 12 days because I was asked to move out of state quite suddenly (for another reason) and was told, incredibly blunt and rudely, that Target wouldn't hire me back because I didn't give a full two weeks' notice. By that point, I was working one day a week, but I had been there and devoted myself to the company for two years, and that was my send-off.
Maybe be a little more open to the situations that people are going through. My disabilities became exasperated while working at Target, and I felt completely unvalued as an employee when I wasn't even given a goodbye by management.
Do better.
They will ask you questions regarding how you work as part of a team. They may sometimes have you speak to two different people back-to-back.
Hirevue video questions. There are 3 questions. You get 3 chances to record each answer. So, if you're nervous and mess up the first time, you can do it again. If successful, a telephone interview will follow to ask about availability, etc.
There were 4 rounds of interviews. All interviews happened online. The interview process was completed in 2 months. I got an offer letter within one week after the last round of interviews. There were 4 rounds of interviews. All interviews happened o
