Target as a company is employee-oriented and caring. If you are in a non-IT environment, you would like it here.
If you are going to be in a team that works with the team in India, your life would be in hell. Nightly calls, lost communication, a gazillion emails to solve a simple problem, lack of context, and unqualified individuals who got promoted to managers by means of favoritism. If you want a government-type job that is relaxing without much accountability and quality, a Target IT job may be for you.
Revisit your India strategy. Don't hire left and right without quality. Give people a right environment to learn and grow. Bring work in house, which includes less work to Bangalore.
I had a phone screening which was pretty much behavioral, focusing on my past work. Then, I had a live 30-minute coding interview, which was quite easy. It involved creating a map, making a 'put' call, and a 'get' call.
Video interview on coding pad. The interviewer had questions they wanted me to explain and code out. They also asked preliminary questions relating to skills, languages, background, interests, and workplace preferences.
Easy interview. Great interaction with everyone involved in interviewing. Constant feedback and updates from the recruiter. I had 4 rounds in total. Technical rounds were a bit tough, but just like any other software engineering interview.
