Never come to the office if you don't want to. The company loves spending money on various employee functions.
Engineers almost never come to the office, even people that live 10-15 minutes away.
Management doesn't seem to communicate direction with engineering. There is often a complete disconnect between customer needs and engineering goals.
Integration between engineering teams that provide overlapping resources was nonexistent.
There is a lack of innovative new products or features, with an overall weak product line offering in comparison to direct competitors.
There is no profit sharing or stock options.
There is terrible healthcare for a company of this size and age.
Also, a huge red flag to me was the fact that I was given no technical interview whatsoever before being hired.
Floored
Start making products that actually protect the customer, instead of products that say, "Hey, you're vulnerable, but I'm not actually doing anything about it."
HackerRank type interview. Take home. Plenty of time to thoroughly review test cases, etc. Some of the test cases on the coding exercises were hidden, so you had to be sure to cover all your corner cases.
The hiring process consisted of three main stages: * Initial phone screening with HR. * Manager interview: Deep dive into my resume/background and discussion about the project/role. * Technical interview: A live coding session to test practica
In an online interview, the shortest path graph question was unclear. Also, the SQL task was unsolvable. The time given was too short. The interviewer ignored my solution and had poor communication.
