Process

If you have an employee referral within the company, you will receive an invitation for any position you have applied to.

If you do not have an employee referral, no one cares about your application or who you are. I know this because later on, I obtained an employee referral and subsequently received invitations for all the irrelevant positions I had applied to. Without a referral, I did not get any invitations, even for highly relevant jobs.

There are no tests where they measure your cognitive or aptitude skills, nor your personality. It's just a 30-minute online chat, and then they somehow conclude that you are "clever" enough. Hmm. Sounds very clever.

I should also emphasize that experience is very important to them, while education is clearly not important at all. People without an engineering degree can secure engineering jobs if they have many years of experience. If you did not study at a good university or have no degree at all, there are no worries; you have chances at Tesla.

My rejections were due to my lack of experience (2 years), according to the feedback I received from HR.

Considering what I experienced and observed in the interviews, I really did not like the company culture.
