I had a phone call with the hiring manager at the start. He asked me about my interest, background, and visa situation, and then told me to appear for the firmware test.
The test was pretty easy and straightforward, consisting of 5 questions in C. After clearing that, I had a live coding round with a senior engineer.
He first asked me about my background. When I started talking, he started yawning and looked disinterested, which was somewhat upsetting.
He then asked about RTOS and locking mechanisms, which I explained clearly. The coding part is where I fumbled a bit. I was able to explain my intuition but couldn't convert it well into code.
