Pros

• Collaborative team. Teammates will happily put in extra hours to help you learn and grow.

• Meaningful work. No paper pushing here. You will be given work that is important to the product, and others will count on you (and will help you when needed).

• Great intern community. Lots of interns all wanting to meet each other and do activities. It's easy to make friends.

• Overtime pay. You'll likely be working more than 40 hours, but interns are paid hourly, so it's great.

Cons
  • Long work hours. Product dev is volatile. Expect chill weeks (40 hours) and hectic weeks (60-70 hours).
  • Limited amenities compared to neighboring companies. No meals provided, no free snacks (before COVID, they had cereal). Transit subsidy is limited (at one point, they paid $15/day for biking; not sure if this still exists).
Advice to Management

The internship program and coordinators are excellent, but the interview process is volatile. You may have an interview and not hear back for months. Please let candidates know whether they've been rejected or are still being considered more promptly.
