Very hard to get a promotion. Expectation is to work long hours and sacrifice large amounts of your personal life to achieve their goals. Work/life balance is very lopsided. Parking is a nightmare.
Showing you value your employees goes a long way toward creating a better work environment and, in the long run, a better product. Budgets need to be spread more evenly, not just on bare necessities. Promotions and recognition can help reinvigorate the workforce. Amenities make long hours bearable.
