Exciting, fast-paced environment. Lots of responsibility and opportunity for growth. Interns are treated like full-time employees and are expected to perform as such.
The culture embraces challenge and explores opportunities to change the industry through new technologies and methodology.
Fun work culture, work hard, play hard. Teams are really close and positive.
Long hours (Must be willing to stay late some nights and work some weekends, but it comes in waves.)
It's not for everyone. You have to genuinely care about your work and be passionate. If you're not having fun every day, then you need to move on to something else.
Make sure to acknowledge the long hours and hard work that employees put in without request. It significantly boosts morale when everyone feels appreciated. It's the little things that go a long way. Just say "Thanks for your hard work, it does not go unnoticed."
(My manager and mentor does this regularly.)
Ask about basic info, PLC skills (depending on your team's need), etc. The interviewer was most focused on your attitude. Pretty straightforward and happy talk. They are expecting you to learn more at work, so show them that you are willing to learn
Several rigorous rounds of interviews were conducted with team members over the phone and via video conferencing. The team also brought me into the shop floor to review their manufacturing process.
The panel interview combined with a presentation feels like a lot to handle at once, so I would appreciate the opportunity to have more time or flexibility to better prepare and perform well.
