A recruiter reached out and set up an interview with a hiring manager in TI. After I was flown out to Maryland to interview with a team there.
Overall, I had an okay experience, except with one interviewer. He asked me if my GPA had to do with me failing English. He assumed, because of my appearance, that English was not my native language, even though I was born and lived my whole life in the US. He also spent some time bragging about his Tesla. When I tried to make small talk, he pretty much insinuated that one of my family members didn't make enough money to purchase one. I just smiled and carried on with the interview.
So, even if I would have been made an offer, I would not have accepted. Working with a racist isn't something I'd want, especially one in a senior role.
