Pros

Overall, a great place to work. If you are doing an excellent job and build up some credit, there are many different opportunities inside the company to move to and try out. Management, more often than not, tries to support your career goals or helps accommodate specific personal situations.

Cons

Org changes sometimes happen more often than I wish. Also, history has shown that unexpected and drastic layoffs can happen anytime due to changes in corporate direction.

Advice to Management

Give the folks at the end of the reporting chain a little more advance warning so that larger changes don't catch people too off-guard.

Also, sometimes it's worth communicating some of the little details and reasons as well. You think why should people care, but they do.
