Cons
  1. Management detached from reality: Work performed is never enough. Some direct personnel have used phone apps to measure distance walked over the course of one shift, and distances have been repeatedly over 10 miles in 11.5 hours. (How far can you walk day in, day out?)

  2. Lean manufacturing principles conflict with quality goals. (Watch 'I Love Lucy Candy Factory' video on YouTube as an example.)

  3. Physically and mentally demanding with poor reward and recognition for outstanding performance.

  4. For the majority, pay is not commensurate with the demands of the job.

Advice to Management

At TI and typical of the times we live in, the rich will continue to get richer and the poor will continue to get poorer. Think about it...........
