Pros

Challenges you to be a problem solver. Nice people. Treated with respect. Lots of room to learn about process and equipment. A place to be if you want a career working in the fab.

Cons

Asked to support the fab 24/7 when needed. Very busy place, difficult to do things you enjoy and are passionate about. Primarily doing things because of the need. On call all the time. Not much career development, hard to move around for certain positions. Do not easily believe what the interviewers tell you; entered the job with lots of false hopes and expectations. The fab role has a huge turnover rate. Fab management actually wants to keep you, but many leave for obvious reasons.
