Pros

The company will remain relevant and performing through events like the pandemic. Bonuses and profit sharing were not cut. The culture of knowledge sharing is very helpful.

Cons

Bonuses and profit sharing are fixed for the Malaysian HR compensation model. They do not vary from person to person. I'm not sure about the other offices.

In TI Malaysia, you don't get a variable bonus based on how well you perform. You may get an end-of-year raise, but even that has some kind of semiconductor industry-based (in Malaysia) hard limitation.

The con of a fixed bonus is subjective to the individual, I suppose, if you know what I mean.
