Pros
  • Very good learning experience.
  • Optimized process and tools, way ahead of other semiconductor companies like QCOM and BRCM.
  • Good work/life balance.
  • Dollar-to-dollar 4% matching in 401K with immediate vesting.
Cons
  • Not immigration friendly; will not start GC until you have 3 years left on H1B and only in EB3.
  • No growth opportunity.
  • Poor overall compensation; RSU is a trap. One-time vesting at the end of 4 years.
  • Poor health insurance cost; HMO costs $6K/year.
  • Middle management is full of morons who have no idea what needs to be done.
  • Layoffs are happening all the time; upper management only cares about EPS and stock price.
  • Focusing too much on Analog (overall $43B market only); too much competition, very tight cost and margins.
  • Current CEO is a bean counter and R&D is considered a cost.
