One of the main things I love about TI is the good work-life balance. The company always promotes a family-first approach. No matter how critical the deadline is, family is always the first priority. Obviously, you have to communicate this to our internal stakeholders, but everyone is understanding and supportive, including the managers.
Everyone helps out one another. During my six years at TI, whenever I have been stuck on a challenging task, I have always had team members be there for me, and vice versa.
Great rewards and recognition. You get recognized and evaluated annually. If you do a great job, you will be rewarded immensely. Additionally, TI has a profit-sharing program from which employees receive up to an additional amount of money.
Always opportunities for moving to different roles or trying out new things. For example, you can work in a different IT area or perhaps try out a whole new different role not related to your field.
There are not too many disadvantages to working for TI. It's a great company overall. I have seen people comment that it can get stressful; however, I know in the IT section everyone is willing to help and listen to you. If you are getting burned out or work is stressful, then that should be communicated to your manager. Managers are always listening and supportive!
