Atlanta) The process took 2 weeks.
I applied online and received a call from the recruiter and scheduled a phone interview for me and the hiring manager. She claimed my resume was so good, and the hiring manager liked it a lot!
The hiring manager, Hiren Patel, was 7 minutes late to the interview and did not acknowledge it. He was very dry and not welcoming at all.
It seemed very cocky when he told me, “I will ask you 10 cookie-cutter questions that I have been asking for 10 years and it has worked fine.”
It was not conversational, and after I answered each question, there were long pauses and a lot of “good deals.” It was just strange because we are on the phone, and you can’t tell how the other person is. I wasn’t asked anything on my resume since they emphasized my resume.
I was able to ask him a few specific questions about him and the company to make the interview smoother, but it didn’t work.
After I asked the questions, he ended the interview without asking me, “why should you be chosen for the position?” He just said, “thank you, bye.”
I was just shocked how dry and boring the phone interview went with the hiring manager, Hiren Patel.
Good luck to you if you make it on “his team!”
