Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience - London, England

Positive ExperienceGot Offer

Process

Initially, a one-hour informational interview. I was subsequently given a coding exercise to do in my own time at home (no deadline, spent around 20 hours in total).

Had to deal with feedback and additional iterations via e-mail, then a video call for final review with two engineers.

After this, a panel on-site with (I think) five different one-hour interviews covering various areas:

  • Software design
  • Algorithms
  • Databases
  • Personality/fit

Interviewers were relaxed and approachable; we even had fun in what's normally a tense situation.
