Process

The interview process was good until the last interview I had. I was supposed to have two technical interviews, one behavioral interview, and one system design interview. Unfortunately, at the last minute, they changed the system design interview to a technical one due to scheduling issues with the original interviewer. I ended up being interviewed by someone who was given the task at the last minute and threw a Leetcode hard problem, pulled straight from Leetcode, in there for me to solve. I really didn't appreciate being given a technical interview at the last minute when I had been preparing for a system design interview. Admittedly, I did get nervous, and that messed with my problem-solving skills.

The interviewer was very clearly not interested from the beginning and had a condescending tone the entire time, which made it even harder to try and solve the problem. I felt like I had done well on the first two technical interviews, but the last one is what tripped me up. It's unfortunate that I did not get an offer. Other people may not have this experience, but I will say the last-minute change was not ideal. I wish I had been given the system design interview as originally scheduled.
