Pros: Great work-life balance. Employees actually have a life outside of work.

Cons: Lower pay compared to big tech.

Pros: Lots of autonomy with your work, even as an intern.

Cons: Hard to relate to the end product.

Pros: Excellent culture where people are, on the whole, genuine and caring. Mangers care about your career growth. Fun problems to solve and easy to make a big impact with your work. Great work/life balance. Long hours are rarely required. Leadership is responsive to feedback and welcomes critical questions. Company still has a lot of room to grow. ESPP program is very generous. Company-wide “Palooza” events are a great time. Compensation is competitive (especially after recent adjustments). CEO has a good vision for the company.

Cons: Though still excellent, culture has grown slightly more “corporate” over the last couple of years. People who aren’t great at management are sometimes moved into management roles. There are a handful of overbearing individuals in leadership. From what I’ve heard, some other orgs are less good to work in, but I’m speaking purely from my experience in Engineering.
