Process

The interview process typically begins with an HR screening and call, followed by three rounds. These rounds usually involve deep dives into past projects and work, along with LeetCode questions. System design may also be included.

Finally, there is one last behavioral screening round.

Some interviewers are friendly, while others can be rude. Most prefer to conduct interviews in Mandarin. This can make explanations difficult if you are not proficient in the language, or lead to communication challenges with broken English.

Questions

LeetCode problems range from medium to hard, focusing on algorithms like binary search, stack (e.g., valid parenthesis string with wildcard), linked lists (e.g., LRU cache, merge K sorted), graphs (e.g., count islands), and dynamic programming (e.g., decode ways).

Lots of grinding is needed to become familiar with these algorithms. You'll typically have to answer two to three questions in each round, so speed is essential.
