* Interesting engineering challenges at large scale.
Cons: Most people speak only Chinese in the office.
There are a lot of extra hours (unpaid).
There are expectations that you work more hours than your contract.
Basically, they imported the 995 (9 am to 9 pm, 5 days a week) culture from China.
Local management and HR are dismissive about the overtime issues, considering them to be isolated cases.
Delivery expectations from the Product Manager are unrealistic, yet they don't want any pushback from engineering.
Many new hires are Chinese students, not helping with adopting Australian culture.
