Process

One algorithm question, which wasn’t hard, asked something about the resume. The interviewer seemed to be in a rush, and I seemed to talk too much, so we went over time. Rejected after a few months.

Good pay, but not good company culture

Pros: 1. High pay, consider the year of experience. 2. Free lunch and breakfast.

Cons: 1. Overtime work: You need to catch up with the Chinese team in their time zone, which means you will have meetings at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. 2. You will struggle if you don't understand Chinese because most of the documentation is in Chinese.

Toxic Lead and Senior Manager

Data Engineer • Current Employee

Singapore, Singapore

Pros: Nothing worth noting other than free foods.

Cons: Data BP leaders hand-picked their favorite employees and only gave those individuals opportunities. PIPs are common, with 20% of the team optimized into PIPs every quarter. There's no career growth if you are non-Chinese. Also, the toxic culture here pressures you to work overtime every day.
