After a screening call with the recruiter, I was asked to schedule a one-hour interview round with one of the Toast engineers. We started with a brief discussion about ourselves, then he asked me to code a DS/Algo problem. I explained my approach and proceeded with the solution.
I finished the problem in 15 minutes, ran some test cases, and discussed time/space complexity. He said the interview was over, and I asked him a few questions about Toast.
I received a rejection email the next day and was ghosted when I asked for feedback.
I still don't know why they rejected me or what they were looking for. A pathetic experience.
