Senior Software Engineer Interview Experience

Process

A friend submitted my resume.

They called once and asked some lightweight technical questions, gathering general information about my search. Subsequently, they scheduled a more in-depth technical interview focusing on my knowledge of SQL, data structures, and similar topics.

Finally, an on-site interview was scheduled that lasted approximately 6 hours and included lunch. The interview panel comprised four engineers from the team I was applying to, the team manager, and a higher-level VP.

They asked questions about simple operations with data structures, such as reversing arrays, as well as more open-ended questions about how to approach particular problems.

Questions

Asked to write a thread-safe graph redundancy counting function on a whiteboard.
