Software Engineer Interview Experience - Sydney, Australia

Process

After applying for the job, I was contacted by HR to arrange a time for an interview. They were pretty flexible with that.

On the interview day, as soon as the interview started, they began asking questions. The questions were too academic for someone with 4 years of experience.

The role was supposed to be for a person who has good experience. Instead of asking technical questions or questions about my experience/expertise, they started asking me academic questions from semester 1.

For example: "What is the size of an Integer?" All other questions were also academic and theoretical. Very immature.

Questions

What is the size of an Integer?

Explain the difference between an abstract class and an interface.
