Software Engineer (Internship) Interview Experience - Los Angeles, California

Process

(November 2019)

First, I had a brief interview with a recruiter on campus. Then, I was invited to a virtual interview with a software developer. She asked a simple programming question.

Next, I was invited to a code challenge where I had to design, implement, and test a small system.

Finally, I had three consecutive interviews on-site, two of which were programming-focused and one was HR.

I finally received the offer; however, due to COVID-19, TripAdvisor revoked all internship offers.

It wasn't the old, good TripAdvisor anymore

Data Engineer • Former Employee

Needham, Massachusetts, United States

Pros: The company still has a good legacy and inclusive culture. People you work with are very nice, and you don't have much pressure. Some working objects are super cool.

Cons: The new leadership team is a brutal machine. They brought a lot of political stuff into the company, and the whole atmosphere is changing top-down.
