I applied online in late January. Some weeks later, I received a case study, where I was free to use the technology stack I thought was appropriate.
I had one week to prepare my solution, which was a reasonable timeline, even for a working candidate.
After this step and the evaluation of my solution, I participated in a Skype interview with two software engineers.
A few days later, I received an invitation for two "Get2Know" days at the Amsterdam offices (Trivago covered all my expenses).
In Amsterdam, various teams presented their work to us (me and another candidate). We took part in a workshop and had the opportunity to see what it would be like working at Trivago.
In a nutshell, the recruitment process was the best one I have participated in so far.
Procedure:
Expect tech-related questions about your current role and your skills. You can also expect some questions about yourself. There were no coding or software puzzles.
