Good and intelligent people to work with.
Old HR is full of bureaucratic people: checking attendance records, spying on employees' meeting records, and giving employees a hard time on pay and benefits. New HR is trying hard but has no clue about TSMC people and culture. IT needs better things to do than limit employees' ability to work. For example, it doesn't allow copy and paste for more than 50 words, employees can't access Teams app at home from their computers, and they can't access certain websites or even simple websites.
Need better sense on IT and HR. Be nice to the service group; they need more staff. The era of sweat is over!
CEO needs to care more about employees and listen to them on his own, not counting on his staff or other bureaucratic employees to deliver false information.
I had five phone interviews. Only one interviewer was located in San Jose; the rest of the four were located in Taiwan, HQ. After all were passed, HR told me that I passed these interviews. The last interview was with the HR Director in San Jose, CA.
We had a phone interview with the recruiter, then a Skype interview with the Taiwan local manager. We discussed work experience and academic background with the local manager, then compensation and salary with the recruiter.
Very decent process. The HR replied promptly, and the hiring manager made the call on time. Seems I didn't answer the critical question, so the phone interview just lasted 15 minutes.
