A recruiter reached out, asking if I was interested in an Enterprise Architect role, based upon my previous work experience. I indicated that I was considering other roles.
The recruiter then, without my approval, sent me a link to HackerRank that required I spend 180 minutes straight completing three coding challenges.
I'm not much of a coder these days. After a quick review of the challenge, I told the recruiter I wasn't interested.
This was not a very professional experience. Why would someone spend three hours in a coding challenge if they didn't even get a chance to discuss the position with someone?
Complete a 180-minute coding challenge.
