I applied through LinkedIn. I was called by a recruiter from the Bangalore office for a chat about my skills and experience.
Next, another recruiter set up a technical interview with the hiring manager. An annoying aspect of this was that the recruiter set the meeting up at my preferred time, but in Indian Standard Time (IST). This meant my actual interview was 5 hours after I would have preferred. I tried to get this fixed, but they did not budge, so I accepted their time slot.
The technical interview wasn't too difficult by industry standards; I just wasn't prepared enough. The question was to implement the get and put functions for an LRU Cache in Java. I was allowed to look online, but within 30 minutes, it's difficult to research if you don't go in with an idea of how to do it.
