Process

The interview was a year ago. It was onsite, with 4 rounds:

  • Two coding rounds (one hard, one medium)
  • One database design round
  • One behavioral round

The coding rounds involved LeetCode-tagged problems. There was no self-introduction, nor any initial questions; we started directly with "Good morning" and coding.

The database design round presented a scenario, and I had to design a database with tables using SQL. Once basic tables were established, more scenarios were introduced, requiring me to build upon the previous design. This round wasn't difficult but necessitated significant communication with the interviewer to clarify requirements. Unlike the coding rounds, I had the opportunity to ask the interviewer about their work.

The behavioral round was satisfactory. The key was to keep talking and share relevant stories. The interviewer was pleasant. Similar to the database design round, I got to ask the interviewer about their current projects, which differed from the experience in the coding rounds.
