I applied online for the position of Software Engineering Intern. Twilio reached out to me, and we scheduled an interview three weeks ago. I then spent a great deal of time researching and preparing for the interview.
Unfortunately, two days before the scheduled interview, I received an email from a recruiter stating that the API team had recently filled the opening for the Software Engineer Intern and thus had to cancel my interview. However, the recruiter also said, "We are still very interested in your candidacy and are working to find another team for you here at Twilio."
Unfortunately, two more days after receiving this email, I received another email saying that Twilio had rejected me from the position of Software Engineering Intern of 2017 because they had received 'more qualified candidates'.
This whole ordeal simply displays a lack of professionalism from the recruitment team and the recruitment process at Twilio.
