Process
The interview questions were easy, but the interview process was terrible.
The technical interviewers asked questions sourced from ChatGPT, and I cleared that round.
However, by far the worst round was the business interview. I didn't feel the interviewer was interested in conducting it. Everything went well, and I was confident. She ended my interview in 15 minutes, despite me answering all the questions. I felt confident, but was ultimately rejected.
The individual who kept calling me for days for the interview didn't even bother to give me feedback, despite me sending an email.
Uber may seem like a product-based company, but while interviewing with them, I didn't feel that it was.
Questions
Resume Screening
The take-home assignment had 8 questions. The technical round included Javascript and SQL questions (around 8 total), which were sourced from ChatGPT. This was followed by the team lead interview.
Most of the technical questions were easy. They covered topics such as:
- Prime numbers
- Finding the maximum element
- JSON parsing
- JavaScript object-related questions
- SQL join-based query questions
The last round focused more on cultural fit.
