Backend Engineer Interview Experience - Netherlands

Process

Interview with the HR manager and a meeting with the technical team.

For the Payments role, they asked questions such as, "What is the shortest bus stop, and how would you find that?" They then asked me to write code. This involved writing a simple algorithm to limit connections to the API, but it was quite challenging with other developers watching and analyzing my work.

So, I suggest practicing pair programming sessions with your friends. This will help prevent your mind from freezing and won't feel as daunting as it did for me.

Questions

What is the shortest path to the bus stop?

How would you find bus stops?
