Front-End Engineer Interview Experience - Aarhus, Denmark

October 1, 2016
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The interview process began with a short Skype call with a recruiter, followed by a one-hour online technical interview. This technical interview included a couple of general front-end questions and a bit of algorithm work.

Interestingly, the online technical interview was the most pleasant experience of the entire process.

After that, it took them one week to provide feedback. They then presented a coding challenge, which I had 10 days to complete.

I received feedback on the coding challenge exactly three weeks after submission and was ultimately rejected for what felt like superficial reasons, specifically, "not enough lines of code."

Questions

General questions about front-end development, including:

  • Build tools
  • JavaScript frameworks
  • Stack choices

  • And other related topics.
