Process

Besides briefly discussing my experience, they asked a simple design question and a small coding problem.

The interview went well, with no real hiccups. I answered all the questions to their satisfaction, presumably, including the coding problem which passed their test suite.

However, I received a rejection with no real feedback or any takeaway.

Learned Lots, Tough Culture

Senior Software Engineer • Current Employee

San Francisco, California, United States

Pros: The culture is tough sometimes, but it seems that the rest of tech has become more similar to Uber. I learned a lot about working hard under pressure. The pay and benefits are good.

Cons: The exciting startup days are long gone.

Great growth and energy

Senior Software Engineer • Current Employee

Pros: Everyone is enthusiastic; work is super high impact. I'm still very surprised at the opportunity for new features, products, and work. Compensation is incredibly good. Great perks: * Free food * Uber credits * Equity * Insurance * Events

Cons: Definitely not a "rest and vest" company – expect to be challenged.

Worst internal politics I have ever seen

Senior Software Engineer • Former Employee

Palo Alto, California, United States

Pros: The majority of team members are very skilled, kind, and very good to work with.

Cons: Some of the directors and managers I worked with had bad relationships with superiors/subordinates. They let any pressure or negative feedback go through to the people reporting to them without taking any responsibility.
