Pros: The team at Uber is truly awesome. Right from the CEO to the engineer right out of college, everyone seems to be self-driven, optimistic, and a go-getter. There is a lot of product focus in the engineering ranks. The people are smart and there is a willingness to do whatever it takes. Combine this with great product-market fit, and what you have is a truly amazing company which will be the iconic company of this decade. I believe that Uber will be bigger than Facebook and Google and will touch people's lives all around the world.
Cons: There is technical debt on account of growing so fast.
There is a lot more work that needs to be done on the infrastructure side.

Pros: The best thing about working here is the fact that you get to solve problems at a very large scale. Everything you do here is used by millions of people and pushed to performance limits.
Uber has a good onboarding process, including a week of training and weekly sessions that anyone can attend.
You get thrown into the fire quickly and will be asked to solve problems right from the start. This can be stressful at first.
Cons: You'll probably be asked to do things you have no idea how to do and will be expected to figure them out on your own. You need to be comfortable with putting yourself out there to find answers. You'll probably have a few late nights while getting up to speed.

Pros: Uber has some of the smartest people in the Valley. Everyone across the company, in all units, works incredibly hard and is doing extraordinary things. Everyone is on a mission!
Cons: This is not for people who are looking for a comfortable and stable job and want to get by. You will have to work hard, be smart, and work long. It might take a hit on your work-life balance.
