Software Developer Interview Experience - Nantes, France
Process
I applied after fighting against the UberBot. They asked for my score, then I had three interviews.
The first one was a normal interview about my CV and some school projects.
The second interview was about the same things as the first, but delved into deeper technical issues (such as algorithm complexity, data structures used...). It also included some general computing knowledge questions (these were the ones I found difficult, about computer memory and other topics).
Finally, the coding interview wasn't that hard. It was a "kind of" branch and bound algorithm.

Uber Work Experiences
- 5.0Talented People, Great OfficeSoftware Developer • Current EmployeeToronto, Ontario, CanadaMay 11, 2021Pros: Great office, super talented and fun people.Cons: None that I can think of
- 5.0It was an excellent company.Software Developer • Current EmployeeDecember 16, 2022Pros: Great company with a very interesting product and extraordinary people from various parts of South America. Great quality of life. Incentive to use new technologies as soon as they are released. Good salary and benefits.Cons: The integration with Uber killed the company culture. Now decisions are top-down, with uncertainties about the future of those working from home, loss of benefits, etc. The Uber health plan is a joke and is only good if you live in the city of São Paulo.
- 4.0Growth Room, Option QuestionsSoftware Developer • Former EmployeeSan Francisco, California, United StatesMarch 14, 2015Pros: Amazingly fast-growing company, with more room to grow. It attracts good people and has locations across the globe. Startup mentality at the regional offices, with big company (hopefully) resources.Cons: $40 billion, how much can your options really grow? It's probably great for the first group of employees, but I cannot imagine a new employee becoming an options millionaire.
