Software Engineer Interview Experience - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Process

After the phone screen with the recruiter, I was given a technical screen. This technical screen was unlike anything I have ever encountered.

Despite applying for a position specific to AI, I was asked questions on various other Computer Science topics, which had little to no relevance to the job position. This included questions on:

  • cybersecurity
  • networking
  • databases
  • file structure

After this round, I moved forward to the project round. I was given a week to work on a project which likely would have taken over 20 hours.

At this time, I declined to move forward in the process.
