Process

A recruiter contacted me to discuss if I have a suitable background.

Then, I had one telephonic interview to go through my resume and projects. This included some questions about debugging techniques and C++ fact checks.

Next, there was a take-home assignment designed to test C++ 11 skills and design skills. The assignment involved writing a data structure.

Following that, I had five onsite interviews, each 45 minutes long:

  • The first two were on medium and hard array-based questions, both of which could be found on LeetCode.
  • The next was a design question where I was asked to write classes and API signatures, with no implementation required.
  • Another interview focused on digging into my resume, coursework, projects, and concepts. It featured various short questions relevant to computer science.
  • The last interview was about system details, specifically what happens when a program is executed. It covered fine details such as memory access, instructions and their operands, and the representation of data in memory.

The same interviewer also asked me another basic question and requested I write code on a whiteboard. It was a simple problem.
